When you start your Age of Conan Game, you can choose to be either Cimmerian or Aquilionian. There’s no real difference in the leveling of the two, so just pick the one you like best.
Level 1-5
The first levels, op to level 5, is tutorial levels and are pretty straight forward and easy. After the cut scene, before doing anything else, start by turning 180 and go out in the water. Find a small chest that will give you some loot to sell later.
Next, go talk to the chained girl and get your quest. Go kill apes, pirates, pics and smugglers. You should be close to level 5 when finished.
Level 5-10
Get a quest from the guard and go to the Inn. Find Tina. You’ll get your first Destiny quest which will take you to level 10 or 15, depending on how much you slay on your way.
Now go to the town and get all the quests possible. You can have up to 32 quests at one time, so there should be enough to keep you occupied for some time now.
When you reach level 15 you can get another destiny quest. To get it, you need to port to your home city.
Level 15-30
Get your destiny quest and do it. When you’re finished, go to the town and fill up your quest log once again. These should take you to level 20 or close. Most of these quests are “messenger” quests, where you should go from one location to another. Very time consuming.
If you have a Age of Conan Leveling Guide, you’ll be able do things a lot faster, since you save a lot of time wandering around searching for locations. I usually reach level 80 within 7 days when I follow the guide.

When you’re finished with your “messenger” quests, go to Cimmerian Settlement, get quests, and do them. Then you should be very close to hitting level 30.
After level 30 the game becomes much more fun. And if you’re soloing it gets much easier when you hit level 30. You also get lots of armor and gear now.
If you want some easy XP, go to Old Taratime and get the grey quests, which are very easy to do.
Before using an Age of Conan Leveling Guide, I used about 20 days of playing time before hitting level 40. Now I’m level 40 after 3-4 days.
